Tail lights ford van?

back lights not working but brake lights are. i have changed d bulbs and still only brake lights go on.if ts the fuse which one do i take out.if that not the problem then it has to be a bad earth whats the best way of tackling that.this is cracking me up thanx.

Fuse will be labeled as parking lamps or tail lights. I doubt it's a bad ground. Check the fuse first.



One other thing it could be: If anyone has added a pigtail for trailer lights, those wires that have been spliced can sometimes come unhooked or just have a lousy connection due to corrosion from the elements. If you have a trailer harness on the back, you may want to follow those wires to where they were spiced and see if they need re-connecting. Waterproof connectors and some good electrical tape might be in order too!
