I know the body style only changes every couple of years, how far back can I go and still have them fit my truck? Will '00 - '01 up at least fit?

get the ones made for your year because of different wiring harnesses, some years have separate turn signal lights from the brakes and on some years the brake lights are also used for the turn signals

2001 will fit for sure.
i want to say all the way back to '98 but I think that '98 and '99 have differently styled taillamps.Not sure on 2000. They would mount up fine but the lenses would be different in color.
