BMW 2002 325i Brake and Tail lights indicator?

I bought this car used and its a 2002. Today an indicator came on for the brake and tail lamps, i checked the lights and i think its the brake bulb (the top red one) and it isnt working. Do i have to replace this bulb or is it just loose or something?

P.S i do not know if the previous owner changed the bulb, actually i dont know any of the cars history

please and thank you

Hi Dude

Bulbs are very cheap, get a replacement bulb and fit it yourself - it's sooo easy, the manual shows how it's done.

Alternatively:

Once you've worked out which bulb needs changing, take the same one from the opposite side (that works) and see if that works on the %26quot;faulty%26quot; side. This will show if it's the bulb or a wiring fault.

Let me know how you get on,

Andy

Usually it's a bulb. Every once in a while, though, you'll discover it's a corroded contact or a loose connection. Given the year of your car, I'm sure the contacts are in pretty good shape. Check out this diagram to be certain, or to get the specific part # of your bulb. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=ET37%26amp;mospid=47720%26amp;btnr=63_0459%26amp;hg=63%26amp;fg=20
